DFS was then Deloitte Financial Services, the private client advisory and asset consulting arm of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu

DFS was sold and through a series of transactions, the principals ultimately acquired the business and renamed it DFS Advisory Services.

DFS launches DFS Portfolio Solutions, a separate company to oversee all its investment and research functions. This enables DFS Advisers to focus on client strategies and servicing, while delegating the portfolio management to experts.
